Inspired by vintage blancmange moulds and the classic British puddings, this playful design stirs a sense of culinary nostalgia.

Alexandra Simms started Canonbury Press in the spring of 2020, while living in Canonbury, North London. During those quiet days of lockdown, she began photographing the extraordinary roses blooming in nearby gardens. Their fleeting beauty, subtle differences and quiet elegance captivated her, and she started printing small batches of cards to send to friends. What began as a personal project grew into a collection of image-led designs celebrating nature, classic British style and a touch of playfulness.

Each card is photographed and printed in England using carefully chosen materials, including Italian-milled papers and traditional card stocks. Alexandra has always believed in small pleasures: a handwritten note, an unexpected arrival in the post, a thoughtful message.
