Beryl Cook (10 September 1926 – 28 May 2008) was a British artist best known for her original and instantly recognisable paintings. She was a self-taught artist with a sharp eye for the joyful, cheeky and humorous moments of everyday life. Beryl Cook was a national treasure who painted people as they truly are - laughing, dancing, misbehaving and having fun.
